Rethinking How Government Solves Big Problems

  1. 1

    Meaningful Interactions

Immersive design thinking events where teams tackle real world agency challenges. These are meaningful, small table interactions that result in real communication.

  2. 2

    Actual Results

We work with forward thinking federal agencies, nonprofits, and companies to source challenges, co-host events, and shape policy recommendations. Our model is inclusive, participatory, and agency aligned.

  3. 3

    Implementable Without a Contract

Diverse viewpoints produce ideas an agency can act on immediately. Nothing we produce needs a procurement to put into practice.

The Problem We Are Working On

The Way Government and Industry Communicate Is Broken

The people who own public sector problems and the people who could solve them rarely get a room where they can talk plainly. Conferences put them on opposite sides of a stage. Procurement puts a wall between them.

Collabolutions brings both sides together for a no pitch, high impact working session. Our first events took on procurement, where the gap is widest, with challenges like:

  • Confusing evaluation criteria
  • Slow and siloed acquisition workflows
  • Unclear ownership in proposal review

How it Works

Every Collabolutions event runs the same proven cycle: a real agency challenge, a room of cross-sector problem-solvers, and a day that ends with something an agency can act on.

1

Bring the Challenge

Federal partners submit real, solvable problems, not abstract wishlists or theoretical goals.

Challenges are scoped with agency sponsors before the event, so teams start from real constraints, real data, and a clear owner on the government side.

2

Co-Create the Solution

Cross-sector teams use design thinking and systems insight to prototype tools, resources, and strategies.

Small tables mix government staff, industry experts, and civic innovators. Facilitators guide rapid ideation and prototyping in immersive, no-pitch working sessions.

3

Present, Publish, Repeat

Teams present their work to government leaders, and the strongest ideas advance into published intelligence or pilots.

Each event ends with teams walking government leaders through what they built. Nothing presented carries a price tag, and nothing requires a contract to act on. The strongest work is written up for agency leadership.

Winning ideas don’t end at the event. Past Collabolutions have informed agency acquisition strategies, inspired pilots, and seeded communities of practice. Explore our events »

What Participants are Saying

Real words from the people who build solutions with us.

I attended the inaugural Collabolutions event. I had a BLAST. Those close to me know my attention span is basically zero, and if I am not engaged then I am gone. I had to get to class, otherwise I would have stayed until the very end! The Pulse of GovCon offered time to work with Shark Tank winners on their procurement solution white papers for ideas crafted throughout the day. What a fun, well-thought out event. Aaron Pujanandez and Nick Schutt did a great job!
